Associated Press reported that the United States, Britain, France and Germany have prepared a draft resolution to refer Iran’s nuclear case to the UN Security Council due to Tehran’s failure to comply with non-proliferation commitments.

The draft has not yet been formally submitted to the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and negotiations about its text are ongoing. If it is submitted, the resolution will be put to a vote at next week’s meeting of the Board of Governors in Vienna.

The draft asks IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi to send the resolution to the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly, while also emphasizing support for a diplomatic solution for Iran’s nuclear program.

Associated Press wrote that the Islamic Republic has not allowed the IAEA inspectors access to the damaged nuclear sites after the attacks in Khordad 1404 and that the status of 440.9 kilograms of enriched uranium up to the level of 60% has not been verified.

The Agency has warned that the continued lack of access for inspectors creates a “proliferation risk” that must be addressed “with the utmost urgency.”
