Ali Madani’zadeh, the Minister of Economic Affairs, said that there is a very large difference between “economic cost” and “economic surrender.” The Iranian people have paid a cost, but they will never surrender.
According to Tasnim News Agency, Madani’zadeh added: “We manage Iran’s economy for the lives of the people, not for Washington’s satisfaction.”
The Minister of Economic Affairs continued: “If the goal of the United States is to pressure the Islamic Republic, our response will be economic resistance and economic reforms; but if they think they can use sanctions and pressure to decide for Iran’s economy, our response is clear: Iran’s economy will be built by the Iranian people, and the future of Iran will also be determined by the Iranian people with their will and their own plan, for their own interests.”
