Alhurra news network reported that Iraq’s prime minister, Ali al-Zayadi, during his trip to Tehran, has asked Iranian officials to guarantee the safe passage of this country’s oil tankers through the Strait of Hormuz.

Alhurra, citing its “sources,” said that Tehran has not provided a clear response and may react negatively to al-Zayadi’s recent trip to Washington and his agreements with American companies.
