According to Nepal’s army, rescuers pulled one of the survivors out of a tunnel linked to a hydropower project on the Trishuli River in Nepal’s Rasowa area nine days after an ice, rock and mud slide in a valley.
The Nepal Army published a video of the operation on Friday, 13 Shahrivar, in which a worker is brought out from underground on a stretcher and then placed under the care of army forces. Officials and rescuers believe that natural glacier collapse upstream of the Trishuli River on Wednesday, 4 Shahrivar, trapped at least 900 people in the tunnels related to six hydropower projects along the river.
