A Little Bit of History of Construction:
🟢 By the end of 1357, urban electrification in Iran was almost complete, and electricity had reached approximately 4,300 to 4,400 villages. During the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in Iran, large hydroelectric and thermal power plants were built and developed, including:
🔹 Karaj Hydroelectric Power Plant (Amir Kabir) 🔹 Dez Hydroelectric Power Plant 🔹 Sefid Rud Hydroelectric Power Plant 🔹 Karun 1 Hydroelectric Power Plant (Shahid Abbaspoor) 🔹 Tarasht Thermal Power Plant 🔹 Bayat Thermal Power Plant 🔹 Rey Thermal Power Plant 🔹 Ramin Ahvaz Power Plant 🔹 Isfahan Power Plant 🔹 Tabriz Power Plant 🔹 Bandar Abbas Power Plant 🔹 Rasht Power Plant 🔹 Shiraz Power Plant 🔹 Mashhad Power Plant 🔹 Kerman Power Plant And in the final years of the Pahlavi monarchy, construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant was also begun (it is currently producing 1,000 megawatts of electricity and supplies a large portion of the electricity in southern Iran).
This was not only the construction of a few power plants; it meant building the infrastructure of a modern Iran, expanding industry, developing power distribution, and bringing modern living facilities from cities to thousands of villages.
