The official page of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on X published a video of the wedding ceremony of two people among Israeli citizens who had been abducted to Gaza during Oct. 7, and wrote: “Love always prevails. Sapir Khen and Sasha Troppanov, who were abducted to Gaza on Oct. 7 by Hamas’s terrorist organization forces, celebrated their wedding tonight.” The Oct. 7, 2023 attack was Hamas’s surprise attack and that of allied groups on southern Israel, which resulted in the killing of about 1,200 people and the abduction of about 250 people.
