🔻The internationally recognized government of Yemen says that the Houthis fired six ballistic missiles at the port of Mocha in the Red Sea on Friday, as a result of which at least four civilians were killed.
Forces affiliated with the Yemeni government said that the attack targeted civilian infrastructure and port facilities, and that several fishing boats also caught fire.
The Houthis, for their part, say they targeted military gatherings, weapons, and vessels of forces supported by Saudi Arabia in Mocha with a large number of ballistic missiles.
In a separate development, the Houthi-affiliated Saba news agency reported, citing a military source, that the group targeted an Aramco facility in the city of Najran in Saudi Arabia with a drone.
These developments come as the war between the United States and Israel with Iran has fueled increased regional tensions and raised the risk of a return to widespread fighting in Yemen.
