🔻قالیباف went to Baghdad
According to Iranian media, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, has traveled to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, to meet with senior Iraqi officials.
The purpose of the trip has been announced as “talks to improve bilateral relations, border security, combating terrorism, and developing economic cooperation.”
On the social media platform X, Mr. Qalibaf wrote: “The neighborhood of Iran and Iraq is based on brotherhood in the hardest days, resistance to foreign interference, and belief in the shared destiny of the two countries.”
A delegation from the Iranian parliament will also accompany him on this trip.
Mr. Qalibaf was among Iran’s senior negotiators in talks with the United States and Iran.
