The UK maritime trade operations center has reported that an “unknown projectile” hit a cargo ship near the coasts of Oman.

The incident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 13 Mordad 1405 (Tehran time), about 20 nautical miles northeast of the Khassab area in Oman, and near the entrance to the Strait of Hormuz.
