We’ve known each other for a long time—she is an extraordinary person and a true American patriot. Lindsey was one of the greatest human beings and senators I’ve ever known, and her sister has inherited her deep love for our country and for the state of South Carolina.

During her visit, I asked Darleen, for the sake of our country, to run in the Republican Party’s special primary election on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She accepted, because there is no one better than her to honor the legacy of her dear brother, Lindsey.
