🔶 The United States announced the identity of the third service member killed in Iran’s attack on a base in Jordan
The U.S. Army announced the identity of the third service member killed in the Islamic Republic’s missile and drone attack on a military base in Jordan. The service member was identified as Sergeant “Angel S. Rampersad,” 28 years old, from Ozone Park in the state of New York.
With confirmation of his death, the number of U.S. military personnel who have lost their lives since the start of the war has reached 18.
The Pentagon had previously announced the identities of the other two service members killed in Friday’s attack on the base as “Tyler James Feehan,” 25, from Hawaii, and “Isabella Gonzales,” 19, from Texas.
According to CENTCOM, the three service members were killed in Iran’s ballistic missile and drone attacks. This was the first American service member casualty caused by a direct Iranian attack since the start of the war. CENTCOM said these forces were stationed in the framework of the U.S. Army mission against the ISIS group in the region.
