The United Arab Emirates expressed deep concern over developments in the region and called for an immediate halt to the escalation of tensions.

Based on a statement by the country, the UAE urged all parties to refrain from any action that increases instability and to immediately return to the negotiating table.

The statement emphasized the vital importance of ensuring the freedom and safety of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The UAE also said that targeting civilian infrastructure in the region, including schools, hospitals, water desalination plants, energy facilities, and residential areas, is a clear violation of international law and is not justifiable under any circumstances.
