The spokesperson of the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya threatened that if the recent threats by the U.S. president to target Iran’s infrastructure are carried out, “all infrastructure in the region” will be targeted—so that “nothing of them will remain.”
He said on Thursday that the Islamic Republic has not attacked the infrastructure of the countries in the region out of “decency.”
The claim by the spokesperson of the Khatam al-Anbiya Corps comes as the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has, in recent months, repeatedly attacked the region’s non-military infrastructure—from refineries to oil terminals and non-military airports in the region—and has even destroyed part of Qatar’s liquefied gas facilities, which is described as the intermediary in negotiations between the ruling regime in Iran and the United States.
At the same time, the IRGC reported on Thursday a new wave of attacks on Bahrain and claimed that “the air-detection and air-control radar and the pumping station for the fuel tanks of the U.S. fighter jets at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain were completely destroyed.”
The United States has repeatedly rejected similar claims by the IRGC.
