Mohammad-Bagher Qalibaf sent an “encouragement letter” to Khalil al-Hayya, the new head of Hamas’s political office:

“Congratulations to you on your appropriate appointment for this position—head of Hamas’s political office.

Iran stands alongside Hamas and all fighters on the battlefield to continue the path of resistance until the liberation of Jerusalem.

The martyrdom of [Hamas] leaders such as [Yasser] Ayyash and [Mahmoud] Sayyad will not weaken the resistance movement; rather, it indicates the beginning of a new chapter of anger and steadfast resolve.”
