Supplementary/: The oil minister said that more than 7.5 trillion cubic feet (TCF) of gas has been discovered in southern Fars.
With a recovery rate of more than 72%, an estimated 5.7 TCF is recoverable—equivalent to the output of one phase of South Pars for 15 years.
This is sweet gas, which reduces development and production costs, and this discovery also includes large condensate volumes that will create new value for Iran worth tens of billions of dollars.
