Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury Secretary, announced Washington’s firm message to all countries, including Russia, that they should stay away from the Islamic Republic.

He emphasized that economic pressure on the Islamic Republic will increase, and that air routes, shipping networks, and digital assets will be among the main targets of the new U.S. sanctions.
