🔻 Reuters: Iran’s war has sharply reduced U.S. Patriot missile stockpiles and those of Gulf countries

Reuters says that the war with Iran has consumed a large part of the stockpiles of Patriot interceptor missiles of the United States and of Gulf countries.

According to estimates by the Center for Strategic and International Studies, the U.S. has used about 65% of its Patriot interceptor stockpiles between February and July, and the number of these missiles has fallen from about 2,330 before the start of the Iran war to fewer than 850. Saudi Arabia also used about 86% of its 2,800 PAC-3 interceptors in the first 38 days of the fighting.

Reuters also wrote that the U.S. has approved the sale of 5,250 Patriot interceptors to Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to make up for the missiles consumed.
