🔻“Respond cruelly and go as far as killing”; an order, as Amnesty International says, has been recorded in one of the documents related to the crackdown on the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement.
In a report of more than a thousand pages, the organization has examined the chain of command behind the crackdown and identified 87 officials of the Islamic Republic, saying they should be subject to criminal investigation regarding their alleged role in crimes against humanity. The report explains where these orders were issued, how they reached the forces present on the streets, and why Amnesty International considers this crackdown to be an organized government policy.
Raha Bahraini, a researcher on Iran at Amnesty International, told Farnaz Ghazi Zadeh in the program “Special Dialogue”: so that such massacres do not happen again, the global community must do something.
