🔸Reports from Kurdish-populated cities in Iran and images and videos released on social media indicate that a strike has been held in these cities on the anniversary of Mahsa (Jina) Amini’s death in the custody of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s morality police (IRIB’s Guidance Patrol) of the Law Enforcement Force.

🔸Based on these images, on Wednesday, 25 Shahrivar, many shopkeepers and bazaar merchants in the Kurdish-populated cities of Saqqez, Sanandaj, Kamyaran, Paveh, Marivan, Mahabad, Oshnavieh, Piranshahr, Divandarreh, and Bukan closed their shops and are on strike.

🔸Websites and various news sources that publish news about Kurdistan, including Hana, Kurdpa, Kolbar News, Zagros 24, and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network, also published reports and images of shop closures in different cities.

🔸At the same time, various images and reports have been published showing the establishment of a severe security atmosphere and the deployment of military and law-enforcement forces with heavy weapons in different Kurdish-populated cities.

🔸The coalition of political forces of Iraqi Kurdistan in Iran had previously called for a strike in Kurdish-populated cities in Iran on the anniversary of Mahsa (Jina) Amini’s death.
