🔺Report on the end of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance’s dominance; freeing Iranian art from censorship

◾The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, which over several decades has essentially dealt only with Islamic guidance and is correctly known as the “Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance,” has a painful record of harassing and persecuting writers, filmmakers, and artists in other fields; and in practice, over the years, by means of at times laughable “medieval” laws, it has prevented Iranian artists from creating freely: from banning simple words such as “kiss” and “romance/wooing” in published books to content censorship of films and stage productions and all kinds of artistic works.
