In response to the increase in the price of gasoline using a “gas card” to 10,000 toman, Prince Reza Pahlavi said the Islamic Republic has again “placed the costs of its incompetence, corruption, and warmongering on the shoulders of the Iranian people.”

In a message on the X social network, he described the increase in fuel prices amid economic pressure on the people as “a cruel act and a betrayal of the Iranian nation,” and added: “Poverty and the economic pressure you have imposed on the Iranian people is the direct result of your destructive policies.”

Prince Reza Pahlavi also said that the country’s resources belong to the people of Iran and called for the return of “the plundered assets of the nation” and the cutting off of funding for terrorist groups.

These remarks came after the Islamic Republic government increased the price of gasoline with a gas card from September 17 to 10,000 tomans per liter. The monthly quotas of 60 liters of gasoline at 1,500 tomans and 50 liters at 3,000 tomans remained unchanged.
