Prince Reza Pahlavi, in an interview with Fox News, called the Islamic Republic a “threat,” and said that if the people of Iran can overthrow this government, “this will be the end of the problem and the beginning of an improvement in conditions.”

He said: “I’m sure our friends in the Gulf countries, Iran’s Arab neighbors, Israel, and other countries in the region that are more at risk would like to see the resolve to end the Islamic Republic’s rule and will play their part.”

Prince Reza Pahlavi also said: “If the real goal of Donald Trump is to create stability and peace, then what has been started must be brought to an end.” He added that in his view the final outcome should be “the freedom of the people of Iran,” and that such a development would immediately lead to calm across the region.

In response to the possibility of civil war after the overthrow of the Islamic Republic, he also rejected this possibility and said that millions of Iranians from different ethnic, religious, and social groups want an end to this government, and that the Islamic Republic itself is the factor creating divisions in Iran.
