🔺Prices of various chicken parts in Iran increase markedly with greater supply

▪While poultry farmers say they are selling chicken below the cost of production, prices for consumers remain high. By the end of Mordad, whole chicken was offered at 400,000 tomans per kilo, and some chicken cuts were released with a significant increase in price.

▪Based on field checks by ISNA, skinless chicken drumsticks were priced at about 750,000 tomans, and skinless thighs ranged from 660,000 to 710,000 tomans.

▪Chicken breast fillet was also sold, depending on the type and the place of sale, from about 684,000 tomans to 1,200,000 tomans. In contrast, the price of whole chicken did not change much.

▪The managing director of the Broiler Poultry Farmers Union says reduced purchasing power of households has led to a drop in demand, and poultry farmers are facing losses under current conditions.
