🔻Pezeshkian administration official denies «lifting the filter from non-native messaging apps»
Masoud Pazouki, Abbas Pazouki, deputy for communications and information at the office of the First Vice President, published a post on social media in which he wrote:
«Over the past few hours, false reports have been circulated in my name about «lifting the filtering of non-native messaging apps,» which is completely fabricated. I have not made any remarks on this matter... The only issue that has been communicated by the First Vice President’s office is a resolution of the Special Headquarters for the management and guidance of cyberspace, based on «lifting the ban on the publication of information by government agencies in non-native messaging apps» in order to provide direct accountability to the public.»
In Iran, in addition to access being blocked to many of the world’s popular applications, internet access has also been reported to have faced disruptions and reduced speeds over the past few days.
