🔻Pakistan’s prime minister condemns attack on Mecca

🔻Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday called the attack on Mecca “cowardly and heinous” and condemned it in the strongest possible terms.

The alliance led by Saudi Arabia has blamed Yemen’s Houthis for the attack.

Mr. Sharif wrote on the social media network “X”: “The people of Pakistan are saddened and concerned by this heinous act.”

The Houthis have denied the attack on Mecca.

Yahya Sari‘e, a spokesperson for the Houthis’ military, said: “Our operation targets oil facilities and military bases.”
