Manouchehr Mottaki, a member of parliament, said at a meeting about the possibility of a ground war with the United States that in such a battle “the bodies” of American forces would not even reach their families. He added that seizing a U.S. base in Iraq, Kuwait, or Bahrain could determine the course of the war and end it.
