🔺Macron met with Trump and Zelensky in New York

▪ The President of France said he discussed with the President of the United States initiatives to stop attacks by Ukraine and Russia on the energy sector.

▪ Emmanuel Macron on Monday in New York, after meeting with Donald Trump, said the two sides’ talks were “very good” and “very constructive,” and that they agreed on the need to help strengthen Ukraine’s defense.

▪ The meeting took place one day before the meeting between the President of Ukraine and Mr. Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

▪ Mr. Trump had announced last week that Ukraine and Russia agreed to stop attacking energy targets, but one day later Russia struck Kyiv’s fuel depots and Ukraine bombed a Russian refinery.
