🔶 Kuwait says it is carrying out air defense efforts to counter drone attacks from Iran

The Kuwaiti army said in a statement on Monday, July 20, that the country’s air defense systems are countering drone attacks from Iran. The Kuwaiti Joint Operations Command wrote in a message on the X platform: “Any sounds of explosions that are heard are due to the interception of hostile attacks by air defense systems.”

Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps had announced that it had targeted U.S. military objectives in Kuwaiti territory.

The IRGC claimed that it “completely destroyed” an American “early warning radar system,” and in another attack it “hit a facilities warehouse for equipment and aerial parts and a hangar for MQ9 drones at the Ali Al-Salem base.”
