ISNA reported that Akram Al-Kaabi, the secretary general of Iraq’s Nujaba Movement group, which is backed by the Islamic Republic, threatened the American forces deployed in Iraq that they will be targeted if they remain in this country after September 30.

Al-Kaabi also said that Donald Trump, the U.S. president, after failing to defeat the Islamic Republic, is now seeking to achieve victory in Iraq, adding that America’s plans in this country will not be carried out.

In March 2019, the United States included Iraq’s Nujaba Movement group and Akram Al-Kaabi, the group’s secretary general, in the list of “Global Terrorists—specially designated.”
