Environmental organization Greenpeace announced that five large oil slicks with a total area of 240 square kilometers in the Strait of Hormuz and other slicks around Oman, as well as the oil tanker Risco, have been identified.
According to the organization, about 70 oil tankers carrying oil in the Persian Gulf have been caught up, and the possibility of further incidents and additional leaks also exists.
