— Greece’s F-16 jets stopped a Turkish drone in the northeastern Aegean Sea after it entered the Athens flight information region and, according to Greek officials, violated Greece’s national airspace between Samothrace and Limnos; this news was reported by the newspaper Kathimerini.

The drone was flying near the runway of the Alexandroupoli airport while a passenger aircraft was preparing for takeoff.

Coordination between Greek military authorities and the Civil Aviation Authority ensured that, without disrupting the passenger flight, the drone was removed from the area.
