Donald Trump, the U.S. president, announced that after the Islamic Republic’s missile attack on U.S. forces in Jordan, it is now “Washington’s turn” to respond to the Islamic Republic. He said Tehran had asked the United States not to carry out an attack, but, according to him, after five missiles were fired at American targets, a U.S. military response will be on the way. Trump said Wednesday to reporters at the Oval Office of the White House: “We will hit them very hard, because now it’s our turn to hit them. They know this is going to happen. They ask us not to do it, but on the evening of Tuesday they tried to carry out attacks.”
