A death sentence for two brothers detained during the Dey 1404 protests has been confirmed.

According to reports published by human rights sources, the death sentence for Akbar Arabzadeh and Mehdi Arabzadeh—two brothers from Ziar, in the southern part of the Baraghan district of Isfahan Province—has been confirmed.

These two brothers were arrested by security forces on Dey 20, 1404, during protests in the Chamran area of Isfahan, and after interrogation they were transferred to Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. Reports indicate that they were tried on the charge of “moharebeh,” and that their death sentence has been upheld.
