▪The death of Niloofar Majaver, a young woman from Piranshahr in West Azerbaijan province, who according to reports by human rights organizations died after several days of being held and enduring severe physical and sexual violence, during which she suffered brain death and lost her life, has once again highlighted the issue of femicide and the lack of effective legal support for women in the Islamic Republic. On Saturday, 14 Shahrivar, domestic media reported, citing a judicial official, the arrest of a man accused in connection with this case.
