Danny Danon, Israel’s ambassador to the UN, in a video he released, Thursday, 2 Mehr, in the UN General Assembly proposes a Starlink satellite internet device to an Iranian diplomat and tells him: “Take this with you to Tehran; it can be very useful for you.” The Iranian diplomat pays no attention to him and does not take the device.

This is the same device that Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, had previously shown earlier that day in his speech at the UN. Netanyahu said that Starlink could help Iranians bypass internet censorship and that if Iranian diplomats separate from the government, he would make it available for their use. This diplomat is identified as Nasir Asadi, a member of the Islamic Republic delegation to the UN.

Asadi also stayed in his seat on Tuesday during Donald Trump’s speech as the US president, while other members of the Iranian delegation left the hall in protest.
