Bloomberg reported that some of America’s allies believe the Strait of Hormuz has not yet been fully cleared of mines; an assessment that conflicts with Donald Trump’s statements about the U.S. Navy’s cleanup of this waterway.

According to officials that Bloomberg cited, dozens of mines laid by the Islamic Republic may still remain in the waters of this region.

These sources estimated the number of mines laid at around 80 to 150, but the exact number of mines remaining is not known.
