Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel, on the International Criminal Court (ICC):
“ This is a corrupt and evil organization. It had a prosecutor who issued an arrest warrant against me and my former defense minister and accused us of war crimes; apparently for the charge of keeping the people of Gaza hungry.
We sent one million tons of food to the people of Gaza, but he decided to do such a thing.
He (Kareem Khan) was supposed to come to Israel and said: ‘We shouldn’t be hasty in our judgments; Israel has an independent judicial system.’
But suddenly, on the very day when he was supposed to travel to Israel, he canceled his trip. We didn’t know why.
Then it turned out that a few days earlier, his chief of staff had said: ‘There is a female employee who intends to accuse you of sexual harassment.’
And this corrupt prosecutor, Kareem Khan, decided that the only way to save himself is to trick this international community by apologizing.
He said: ‘Let’s strike Israel. Let’s cancel my trip, set aside all the positive things I said about Israel’s judicial capacity, and instead of waiting for review, accuse the Prime Minister of Israel of war crimes.’
In this way, he gains the support of anti-Israel currents that are present in this international court and in many international institutions.
But guess what happened? Another female employee also came forward and accused him of sexual harassment, and he was removed; he was dismissed.
He thought that if he raised these allegations, he would be safe.
He raised the allegations, but he wasn’t safe.
However, this shows how corrupt and disgusting this international court is.”
