Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, said in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly that the rulers of the Islamic Republic fear the Iranian people above all else. He also criticized what he described as the silence of Western countries and some representatives present in the UN against “the killing and wounding of tens of thousands of Iranian civilian, unarmed citizens.”

Netanyahu said that sooner or later an “astonishing event” will happen in Iran, adding that the Islamic Republic will be overthrown and that the Iranian people will reach freedom.
