Axios: Britain has told the U.S. it is ready to cooperate with it in a military alliance to secure the Strait of Hormuz.

These two countries are planning to hold an important meeting next week in London (with defense ministers) and form an international coalition.

Their goal is to make the route safe for commercial ships using ships, minesweepers, drones, and more, and to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
