Agence France-Presse reported that more than 120 people in Yemen were killed after the Houthis, the Islamic Republic’s proxy group, launched operations with the aim of advancing toward the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait.

Fighting began on Thursday after the Houthis launched their ground attack with support from missile and drone attacks near the Yemeni Red Sea coast. In this area, the Houthis are trying to reinforce their positions near one of the world’s busiest maritime chokepoints.
