Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, the commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, declined to give a direct answer to the question of whether he would follow President Trump’s orders to launch military operations against Canada, calling this scenario “completely and absolutely stupid” and the question “emotionally unnecessary.”
Paparo said that he follows the orders of the Commander-in-Chief and emphasized that Canada is a close ally of the United States.
When pressed for a direct answer, he dismissed the premise by comparing it to a question about “plans to attack the Martians.”
