Abdolnaser Hemati, the head of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic, in a televised interview, said while referring to the decline in the Islamic Republic’s oil revenues: “The income restrictions resulting from reduced oil exports is an issue that affects some neighboring countries as well, including Qatar and Iraq.”

Hemati added: “However, the main difference of Iran from other countries is the lack of access to foreign currency reserves due to them being blocked by the United States of America.”

The head of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic said: “The simultaneous decline in oil revenues, tax revenues, and revenues obtained from social security insurance premiums has affected all sectors of the country’s economy.”
