Abdolhossein Hemati, a member of the board of directors of the Energy Commission of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s parliament, said in an interview with the House of Parliament News Agency on Sunday, 29 Shahrivar: “America threatens, imposes sanctions, and creates tensions, but in the end it is the Islamic Republic that holds the pulse of the world’s economic main thoroughfare.”

Hemati said: “The White House, with the tools of sanctions and rhetoric, cannot conceal the real-world facts in the Strait of Hormuz, in global markets, and even the severe economic pressures within the soil of the United States and Europe.”

He also added: “Current developments have shown that energy security, economic security, and stability in the global production chain are completely intertwined, and managing this crisis will not be possible except by accepting Iran’s geopolitical weight in international equations.”
