▪ Field Marshal Asim Munir, commander of Pakistan’s armed forces, will arrive in Tehran tomorrow leading an official delegation. According to Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson, the aim of the visit is to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and “Pakistan’s help in strengthening peace and security in the region.”

▪ Syria’s foreign minister said Damascus expects negotiations with Israel over a security agreement to resume soon. Assaad Shibani urged Israel to take advantage of this “historic opportunity,” saying that “the doors of diplomacy” remain open, while also pointing to a lack of trust.

▪ Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s foreign minister, held separate phone calls with his counterparts in Oman and Egypt regarding regional developments and discussions to reduce tensions.
