A passenger ship with 271 people on board caught fire in the Java Sea on Sunday, 11 Mordad, and rescue operations to evacuate the passengers and crew of this vessel are underway.

According to the AFP news agency, the ship was traveling from Surabaya, the second-largest city in Indonesia in the East Java province, to South Sulawesi province when it caught fire.
