📸 US strikes on southern Iran; damage to bridges, roads and water-supply facilities

US strikes on targets in Iran continued for the seventh consecutive day. Reports say that on Saturday morning, American fighter jets targeted the provinces of Hormozgan, Bushehr and Khuzestan.

The public relations office of Hormozgan Province says that in the attacks during the previous evening and on Saturday morning, at least six connecting bridges in Hormozgan Province suffered serious damage. Based on this, the Geryouh Bridge, Kalamatli Bridge, two bridges in Khooristan, the bridge of Maru village (Khormiz city), and the unfinished bridge on the Bandar Khomeyr–Keshar axis (Bandar Abbas) were seriously damaged in these attacks.

In these areas, the destruction of connecting routes has also caused problems for residents’ access and travel.

In Jask as well, power facilities and freshwater desalination pumps at Bûnji were targeted. Hormozgan officials said the attack caused the drinking water supply to be cut off to about 20 villages, and operational teams are working to restore water to the area.
