🔶 US strikes leave 18 dead and 142 injured
Hossein Kermanpour, head of public relations at Iran’s Ministry of Health, announced the latest figures on casualties from US airstrikes in the period from 8 Shahrivar at 20:30 to 11 Shahrivar at 20:30.
According to Kermanpour, 18 people were killed and 142 were injured in these strikes. A child and two women are among the dead.
He also said that, of the total injured, 61 are women and 44 are under 18.
So far, US officials have not provided precise information about civilian casualties from the strikes.
In response to a question about reports related to civilian casualties from strikes on Tuesday, 1 September, Team Hawkins, a spokesperson for U.S. Central Command, CENTCOM, said on Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar (2 September): “The U.S. Army, unlike the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, has never targeted civilians.”
