Trump: Iran wants a quick deal and we have a “open” outlook on it
🔸 The U.S. president says he has an “open” approach toward engaging with Iran and that he is going to review the matter.
🔸 Donald Trump, on Monday, 23 Shahrivar, in a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, wrote: “Iran, a country that is in the process of going bankrupt, wants to reach an agreement quickly and with intensity. I will decide whether the United States of America will enter this story or not; something that we have an open view of.”
🔸 After the publication of this post by Mr. Trump, the price of oil fell slightly.
🔸 The latest comments by the U.S. president come as Iran has said it has no plan to negotiate with the United States and has announced multiple conditions for an agreement with Washington.
🔸 Meanwhile, Scott Bessent, the U.S. Treasury secretary, within the framework of the economic pressure plan on Iran known as “economic expulsion operation,” asked all whistleblowers to provide the ministry under his command with information if they have it about “facilitators of Iranian terrorism.”
🔸 In a message he posted on the social media platform X to those who have information around the world about the vital arteries of Iran’s economy, he wrote: “This is your chance. If you have actionable information for the Treasury Department, you may be eligible to receive a reward, regardless of where you live or who signs your paycheck. If you see something, say something.”
🔸 He also once again emphasized that the U.S. Treasury Department has launched the “economic expulsion operation” “to cut off all financial arteries of the Iranian regime and its supporters.”
