The U.S. Treasury Department announced that the anti–financial crime network of this department held a meeting with international financial institutions to advance the “economic expulsion operation.”

According to the ministry, the aim of this operation is to isolate Tehran and limit its ability to finance the war in the Middle East. The Treasury Department added that, at the meeting, the necessary information to cut off streams of revenue and related supply networks connected to the Iranian government was provided to financial institutions.
