The physical condition of Taraneh Rahimi, a prisoner sentenced to death in Isfahan, has been reported as critical, and she is said to be facing serious mobility problems—so much so that she has lost much of her ability to walk.
Mehdi Mahmoudian, a former political prisoner, wrote about this on Sunday, 15 Shahrivar 1405 (2026), saying that despite a doctor’s emphasis on the need for her immediate transfer to a hospital and surgery, her transfer to medical centers has been refused.
According to this report, in response to the request to transfer Taraneh Rahimi, the head of the prison infirmary section said: “If she is going to be executed, she will be executed with a paralyzed leg.”
